GUIDELINES– RULES

 ENGLISH DEPARTMENT

The competition is open to any production team of students with a maximum of 10 students per team. Actors within the production may belong to different classes but must be from the same grade.

               

Ø  Each video must be the work of the students only and ALL PARTICIPANTS must have a speaking role within the film.

Ø  The submitted video may be no longer than 6 minutes, and no shorter than 4 minutes.

Ø  The submitted video should fit within any categories (mini-drama, mini-comedy, romantic short film,  advertising spot ...etc.) ONLY 1 VIDEO PER TEAM.

Productions must be related to:

A.     Presence of the Spanish culture in the world. Cultural Spanish traditions. Internationally known Spanish personalities.

B.    Human values.

C.    Open theme.

Ø  All files MUST BE SUBMITTED in a pendrive or DVD/CD disc in any of the following video formats:

               Windows Media Video (WMV), AVI -  Xvid AVI -  DivXMPEG or any other video format compatible with

               Windows.

Ø  No videos that are “objectionable” will be considered. According to law, a video is rated objectionable if it “describes, depicts, expresses, or otherwise deals with matters such as sex, horror, crime cruelty, or violence in such a manner that the availability of the publication is likely to be injurious to the public good”.

Ø  All the videos must include ENGLISH SUBTITLES.

STEP 1: REGISTRATION:

Registration starts JANUARY 15^TH and finishes JANUARY 26^th 2018. Entry FORMS will include name and class of the team members (CHARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN ALL CLASSROOMS). All registered participants must participate.

STEP 2: SCRIPT

Written version for the short-film screen-play will need to be submitted to participants ‘respective teachers between February 19th^th and 26^th 2018 (to be handed out by respective teachers)

STEP 3: SUBMITTING FILES

Files must be submitted (to respective teachers) between MARCH 26^THand MARCH 30^th 2018. No files will be accepted after that date.

STEP 4: SHOW FESTIVAL –APRIL 23^RD - 27^TH 2018.
